Exchange of attacks between Iran and the United States
Iran fired ballistic missiles and drones toward Bahrain and Kuwait on Saturday. Both projectiles were intercepted, according to the Bahrain government. The authorities called on Tehran to stop attacks against its neighbors.
The Iranian regime indicated that it attacked US military assets in those two countries. The action occurred after Washington launched missiles against surveillance facilities on the island of Qeshm and near Sirik. Tehran claims that these sites were used to protect borders and ensure navigation in international waters. He called the US bombing a violation of the ceasefire.
This new exchange comes amid increasing pressure from the Trump administration on Iran. The objective is to reach an agreement that ends the conflict. The war has strained the global economy and threatens to generate a food crisis in the most vulnerable countries.
Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Iran on Saturday as part of mediation efforts. Meanwhile, the United States seeks to intensify economic pressure on the Iranian regime.
