What a second half, what a team!
Inter Milan’s winning mentality is on another level. Yesterday, at San Siro, they showed that they do not know surrender. After losing by two goals against Como, the Nerazzurri gave a lesson in character and reached the final of the Italian Cup.
The comeback was pure theater. Martin Baturina and Lucas Da Cunha had put things in the way for the visitors. The game seemed to slip away. But this Inter has something special.
Hakan Calhanoglu was the lighthouse. The Turk woke up the giant with a long-range shot in the 69th minute and then, with an unstoppable header in the 86th minute, he leveled things up. It was pure electricity.
And when everything smelled like extra time, the final blow came. With three minutes left, Petar Sucic appeared as an unexpected hero.
The Croatian combined with Calhanoglu in the area and pushed the ball into the net in the middle of a true coven. San Siro exploded. It was the final 3-2.
This victory smells like a double. With Serie A almost in their pocket, they now look ahead to the final on May 13. Atalanta or Lazio await you.
The most impressive thing is that this is no coincidence. Just nine days ago, they had already turned around a similar score (4-3) against Como in the league. It’s a custom.
The last Italian Cup was in 2023. It seems that they have had enough and they want the ninth. With this attitude, with this faith… who can stop them?
