The BTS phenomenon knows no limits
The sellout for BTS’s concerts at GNP Stadium was a show of strength. More than a million people lined up virtually for the three confirmed dates in May 2026.
And everything sold out in just 37 minutes. Yes, you read that right. Less time than it takes me to decide what to watch on Netflix on a Friday night.
“The Army demonstrated that they are a fandom to be reckoned with,” said the report after a controversial pre-sale last week.
A global competition for a ticket
From very early on, the virtual queues exceeded 300 thousand people simultaneously. But here’s the detail that hurts: you weren’t just competing against Mexican fans.
Armies from more than a thousand cities around the world tried to buy. From Lima and Santiago to California and Texas. Everyone willing to pay for a ticket and flight.
At the national level, CDMX, the State of Mexico, Jalisco, Nuevo León and Querétaro led the demand. The dream of seeing BTS reunited mobilized half the continent.
The dark side: wild reselling
As expected, resale offers have already appeared. I have seen prices close to 130 thousand pesos per ticket. Absolute madness.
The official recommendation is clear: do not buy from those suspicious sites. Go to PROFECO if you have any signs of fraud. Don’t feed those speculators.
Thousands of fans were left without tickets today. The hope now is for a fourth date… although with this demand, it will also probably sell out in minutes.
The message is clear: when BTS announces concerts, the whole world clicks.
