BTS fans win the battle against the system
After days of pressure on networks, the Mexican Army achieved something that seemed impossible. OCESA and Ticketmaster will finally reveal ticket prices before the pre-sale begins.
The costs will be announced this Thursday, January 22 at 9:00 a.m., central Mexico time.
This is a radical change. Typically these companies keep prices secret until the last minute, a practice that has infuriated fandoms for years. But this time, the digital pressure worked.
A precedent for everyone
The most important thing here is not just the BTS concerts. This sets a precedent that could benefit millions of fans in the future. The next time your favorite artist announces a tour, you might have more information ahead of time.
The pre-sale will be this Friday the 23rd at two different times:
- 9:00 AM for the shows on May 7 and 9
- 12:00 PM for the concert on May 10
Important note: Only those who have active Army Membership will be able to participate. And the associated email must match exactly the one in your Ticketmaster account.
The general sale for everyone will be on Saturday. But after this victory, the Army has already shown that when they come together, even the most ingrained practices of the music business can change.
