When fate decides to be a cruel meme
Imagine this: you are seconds away from your crush replying to your message, the seen appears… and then, silence. That’s how painful the 90+ minute was for the Rayados. Sergio Ramos, the very *daddy* of epic comebacks in Europe, had the ball at his feet (like in the old days) and *almost* sent it into the back of the net. Of course, Tecatito Corona and Germán Berterame became the nightmare of the German defense, which at some point had to ask itself: *”Why don’t we mark these guys?”*. Berterame’s goal at the beginning of the second half (minute 48, for those who count) gave them hope… until Dortmund did what they do best: spend time like an influencer in a Starbucks line. Fouls, complaints, retained ball… the classic European survival kit.
The “woulda, coulda, shoulda” moment
The 90+ minute arrived and Ramos, the man of miracles in the Champions League, had his chance. The stadium held its breath, the memes were preparing… and *bang*, the ball said *”nah, not today”*. This is how the royal dream ended: with an *almost* that will hurt more than the Instagram algorithm hiding your posts.
Moral: sometimes life gives you a wink, but without a TikTok filter. Monterrey leaves with his head held high (and a new trauma with the posts).
