Saúl Hernández, vocalist of Caifanes, took advantage of the concert on Saturday, May 23 at the Velaria de la Feria de León, Guanajuato, to send a message to Alejandro Marcovich, who is hospitalized. In front of more than 10,000 people, Hernández spoke on behalf of the current band—also made up of Alfonso André, Diego Herrera, Marco Rentería and Rodrigo Baills—and dedicated a few words to his former partner.
“We want to take advantage, on behalf of the entire group, to send a very affectionate hug, with a lot of love, a lot of light and all the best for Alejandro Marcovich. He had a relapse and we wish him with all love, with all our hearts, that he recovers soon, in the name of God, we send him many prayers and a lot of love.”

The audience responded with applause and ovations. During the presentation, Caifanes performed songs where Marcovich had a key role in the composition, such as “Afuera”, “Here it is not like that” and “Aymer told me a bird”—the latter dedicated to Bela, the guitarist’s daughter, when she was born.
The connection between Hernández and Marcovich dates back to high school, when they were part of the band Las insólitas de Aurora, along with Alfonso André. Marcovich joined Caifanes in 1989, with the album “Volumen II (El diablito)”, and remained until 1995. His fight for health continues, and from the stage, his former teammates sent him strength and affection.
