The controversy over Pedro Sola‘s statements about pets in public places continues to generate reactions. The host of Ventaneando declared live his rejection of seeing dogs in stores, supermarkets and restaurants, and launched violent comments against the owners, which unleashed criticism on social networks.
Despite a public apology, activists and public figures maintain the accusation. In this context, the Santa Bárbara neighborhood, in Iztapalapa, was the scene of an urban art mural signed by the artist Nocke. The work, titled Beware of Pedro, shows Sola surrounded by famous dogs such as Snoopy, Scooby-Doo, Courage and Snotlout. In the image, the presenter appears with an annoyed expression, cap and glasses, accompanied by the phrases What were you saying? and No fear.
The mural is part of an exhibition that seeks to make street art visible and give space to young creators. Its appearance on networks has been interpreted as a satire that rejects animal abuse and questions the driver’s position.
