Morena points out the PAN for victimization
Ariadna Montiel, national leader of Morena, accused the National Action Party of victimizing itself after the summons issued to the governor of Chihuahua, Maru Campos. In a press conference, Montiel criticized Jorge Romero Herrera, leader of the PAN, for promoting a narrative of political persecution and linked him to alleged cases of real estate corruption in the Benito Juárez mayor’s office.
The Morenista stated that the so-called Real Estate Cartel is a corruption network that involves PAN officials, construction companies and offices, through the manipulation of permits and land uses. According to Montiel, these practices would have generated million-dollar profits. He questioned the PAN’s defense of the governor, considering that they seek to cover up political responsibilities.
The PAN rejects the accusations and defends the integrity of Maru Campos. Political tension in Chihuahua intensifies as federal investigations progress. There are no official details about the content of the subpoena or the status of the process.
