The Government of Mexico will allocate 33,663 million pesos in 2026 for infrastructure works in the State of Mexico. The accumulated investment for the period 2025-2030 amounts to 76.4 billion pesos, reported the Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation, Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina.
In the morning conference, Esteva detailed that the construction of the Ixtapaluca-Chalco Elevated Trolleybus, 10 kilometers long, has already begun.> “The construction of the elevated viaduct and one of the stations has already begun. terminals. This project will be completed in July 2027,” he noted.
In roads, the 10 paving trains have rehabilitated 1.24 million square meters, equivalent to almost 100 kilometers of roads. In the federal toll-free network, 92 kilometers have been intervened, with a goal of 170 kilometers.
18 new vehicular bridges are being built, in addition to the two Alameda bridges. Ten of them will be executed during 2026, seven are already under construction and three will begin in August.
In education, six of the nine new high schools have already been completed. For 2026, three additional campuses are planned, an expansion in Texcoco and the reinforcement of four schools.
Work began on 10 México Imparable Community Centers, one per municipality, which will be ready in October. In Senderos Seguros, 200 kilometers will be completed in 2025 and 300 more are projected for this year.
In the railway sector, the Mexico-Querétaro train is advancing at 20%, with an investment of 47.5 billion pesos in Mexican territory. The AIFA-Pachuca train will have 20,000 million and is expected to conclude next year.
