The ARMY fandom declares war on Ticketmaster
Between the euphoria of seeing their favorite group and the total chaos left by the pre-sale, the ARMY fandom remains on the digital warpath. Tickets for the BTS concerts in Mexico evaporated in minutes last Friday, and the community does not believe the story that everything was normal.
What really set off the alarms were the massive complaints: failures in the platform, cloning of cards and, most seriously, privileged access for resellers. The latter inflated prices to absurd levels, touching 122 thousand pesos per ticket. An armed robbery, but digital.
“Ticketmaster denied the presence of service failures during pre-sales”,
Of course, because it’s always the user’s fault, right? Meanwhile, the ARMY army does not give up and is already asking Profeco’s intervention again. They want clear answers about this situation full of inconsistencies.
From outrage to meme: enter Banda Tierra Sagrada
In the midst of the chaos and collective frustration, an unexpected and quite funny respite arose. The Banda Tierra Sagrada, a musical group from Mazatlán, Sinaloa, decided to join the conversation with all the humor in the world.
The reason? Their name is also simplified as BTS. Taking advantage of the resemblance (and the perfect timing), they jumped on the hype train with hilarious sketches on TikTok.
In one of their videos they dance to the rhythm of Dynamite while joking: “We are already in the last rehearsals to get them to dance and enjoy.” They even suggested that they are ready to play at the GNP Stadium. Mexican creativity has no limits.
The response from the fandom was instant and glorious. The comments were filled with memes and proposals:
- “For these BTS if it’s enough for me”
- “Is your lightstick a cold loggerhead?”
- “If I don’t get a ticket, I propose hiring Banda Tierra Sagrada”
- “And how much are they charging us to do concerts outside the GNP for those that we can’t afford?”
It’s the kind of cultural solidarity that you only understand if you grew up among chaos and the ingenuity to survive it. While Ticketmaster turns a deaf ear, a band from Sinaloa gave thousands of fans a reason to laugh for a while. Sometimes the best antidote to a broken system is a good meme.
