Deadpool and the Avengers: The most chaotic combination of the MCU?
Ah, Ryan Reynolds, the man who turned posting memes into a career, is back at it. This time, the actor decided to set the internet on fire with an image of the Avengers logo… but, of course, with a Deadpool touch: an “A” painted with red spray, as if a five-year-old child had vandalized the school sign. Subtlety? He has never met her.
The fans, as always, took the bait faster than Deadpool chopping off heads. They are already imagining the mercenary with a mouth sharing the screen with Thor, Captain America and company in Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars. Because what better way to save the universe than with a guy who can’t keep quiet even under the threat of multiversal extinction?
Marvel is silent, Reynolds winks, the world speculates
Marvel Studios, in its eternal tradition of remaining silent until the last second, has not said a single “peep.” But of course, why confirm something when you can let Ryan do the dirty work for you? After all, Deadpool & Wolverine was a box office hit in 2024, proving that audiences love seeing a guy in red spandex making butt jokes while killing people. Who would have thought?
Reynolds, in an interview with Time, admitted that seeing Deadpool become an Avenger or an X-Men would be one of his “geek dreams.” To which we say: sure, because what could go wrong by putting an immature immortal on a team of heroes who already have enough ego problems?
Meanwhile, Avengers: Doomsday already has a cast that looks like the guest list at a Hollywood wedding: Robert Downey Jr. returns, but this time as Doctor Doom (because Iron Man wasn’t dead enough anymore), along with Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, and half the cast of the MCU. And now Deadpool? Perfect, because what that movie needs is more chaos.
The film will hit theaters in December 2026, followed by Secret Wars in 2027. In other words, we have three years to debate whether Deadpool will ruin or save the multiverse. Or both. Probably both.
