Hawkeye returns to action (and this time it’s not just for the salary)
It seems that Jeremy Renner, the actor who gave life to the most underrated archer (and then viralized by memes) of the Avengers, is ready to shoot arrows again in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yes, the same one who survived Thanos, the oblivion of the scriptwriters and—oh, surprise—being crushed by a snowplow. Dramatic? Nah, just another Tuesday in the life of a superhero.
From “who?” to “oh yeah, him!”
In an interview with Empire, Renner dropped the bomb: Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye) will return, probably in Avengers: Doomsday, the next movie that Marvel wants all to see even if it costs us minimum wage. But not only that: he also talked about a second season of the Disney+ series Hawkeye, where he shared the screen with Hailee Steinfeld (Kate Bishop, the new generation of archers with better style).
“I’m sure we’ll end up doing the second season and other things,” Renner said, with the calmness of someone who already negotiated a better contract (or at least decent health insurance after the snowplow thing).
The accident that almost wiped him off the map (literally)
In case anyone forgot (or was too busy watching Loki memes), in December 2023, Renner had a close encounter of the worst kind with a snowplow. Result: 38 broken bones, months in hospital and the title of real-life hero for saving his nephew. What did Marvel do? Nothing, because not even Thanos dared to do so.
The ironic thing: just before the accident, he had refused to return as Hawkeye because he was offered less money. Moral? Never underestimate a guy who survives a snowplow (and Hollywood executives).
Why do we care?
Because, let’s face it, Hawkeye was the Avenger we all ignored until he started training a teenager and became a trending topic. Now, with his return, Marvel could give him the redemption he deserves (or at least a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine).

PS: If you see Renner near heavy machinery, yell at him to run. From experience.
