Colombian streamer Luis Fernando Villa Álvarez, known as WestCOL, mobilized his community to support the victims of the 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes that shook Venezuela on June 24.
Two 10-hour charity broadcasts
WestCOL invited its followers to participate in two live broadcasts of 10 hours each. The proceeds go entirely to the victims.
On June 27, the first transmission was made. During the live show, he combined games, talks and the reaction to the Portugal versus Colombia match. All money generated was used to send medical supplies.
After finishing that first stream, WestCOL informed its more than 6.5 million followers that it had already sent more than seven trucks with medical supplies to Venezuela. In addition, he pointed out that at the Dulcinea nightclub, in Medellín, more items are received to send.
Kick will triple donations
This June 28 the second transmission takes place. The Kick platform, which hosts their live shows, joined the cause and will triple the donations collected during the event.
WestCOL invited its audience to join this new streaming, reinforcing the call to collaborate with the communities affected by the seismic emergency.
