Again with flying saucers
President Trump dropped the bomb: the Pentagon is getting ready to release files on unidentified flying objects (UFOs) that he himself describes as “very interesting.” Sure, the word “UFO” always ignites the imagination, but you have to tread carefully here.

The déjà vu of transparency promises
Trump has been promoting this since February, when he ordered federal agencies to release everything related to unidentified anomalous phenomena (FANE). It sounds nice: information that was reserved for decades, now available to everyone. But we already know how this works.
The president recalls that he previously authorized the dissemination of files on the assassination of JFK. And what happened? Pure straw, no substance. That background does not work in his favor. The Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office has been declassifying things for years, but so far, more smoke than substance.
Between hope and reality
Look, you want to believe that this time it will be different. That we will finally know if there is anyone out there. But experience tells me that these announcements are usually more noise than nothing. Trump builds a narrative of openness, but skepticism is more than justified.
What is certain is that the topic generates expectations. But as always, better wait to see the documents before getting excited. Because we have seen many promises of transparency.
