Report from the Monument to the Revolution
President Claudia Sheinbaum headed the report “Honesty, Results, Love of the People and the Homeland” two years after her electoral victory. In front of 850 thousand people—according to official figures, including in-person and remote attendees from 30 states—he affirmed that Mexico is experiencing a new political reality.
“Mexico has already changed. Nothing and no one is going to stop the Transformation of our homeland,” he declared.
The president called for mobilizations starting next week. “Let’s go to public squares to hold informational assemblies. The country is not for sale! The country is loved and defended!” he said.
Achievements presented
In economics, Sheinbaum highlighted that Republican austerity reduced current spending by 10% and increased revenue by 4.8% without creating taxes. Foreign Direct Investment reached a record of 23,591 million dollars in the first quarter of 2026. Unemployment remains at 2.5% and the exchange rate at 17.40 pesos per dollar.
In security, it reported a 49% drop in intentional homicides and a 20% drop in high-impact crimes, a result of the National Security Strategy. In infrastructure, he announced that 4,200 kilometers of new railway tracks will be consolidated, with trains to Pachuca, Querétaro, Nuevo Laredo and Guadalajara.
Sheinbaum closed by reaffirming his commitment: “I will always give my soul, my knowledge, my effort, my republican and democratic conviction, my love to the people and the country.”
