Shakira’s dream in Mexico is still alive
Two days have passed, but the vibe of the Zócalo is still felt. Shakira closed her tour Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran on the most emblematic stage in CDMX and, believe me, it was epic.
The artist remained silent until now. But he just released some words on his networks that say it all:
“Thank you to my great Mexican family for making this dream come true! I love you Mexico!”
Brief, straight to the heart. And his pack, as they call him, was quick to respond.
A record that makes history
Here’s the juicy thing: Shakira broke the attendance record at the Zócalo. Official figures from CDMX confirm that it brought together 400 thousand people.
The previous record was held by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, with 300 thousand souls in 2023. La ‘Loba’ left them far behind. And that’s not counting the people who followed the show from the giant screens around.
The podium now looks like this:
- Shakira – 400,000 (March 2024)
- The Fabulous Cadillacs – 300,000 (June 2023)
- Firm Group – 280,000 (September 2022)
The comments on networks are pure love. “The entire Zócalo vibrated with you”, “You made history”, “Stay with whoever loves you like Mexico loves Shakira”.
A free concert that is already legendary. The question now is: who can surpass this mark? For now, Mexico belongs to Shakira.
