With the purpose of strengthening social coexistence and promoting a culture of peace, the San Rafael City Council invites citizens to participate in the First Day for Peace, an event aimed at the entire family that will take place on January 30, in the San Rafael Center, starting at 10:00 in the morning.

This day will offer information and service modules, as well as the coordinated participation of federal, state and municipal agencies, with the aim of bringing information and care in different areas to the population.

As part of the activities, there will be an exhibition of military aircraft, equipment and vehicles, as well as a demonstration of canine pairs of the Mexican Army, actions that seek to promote trust, respect and knowledge of the work carried out by the armed forces in favor of security and peace.

Municipal authorities highlighted that the construction of peace begins from childhood and requires the active participation of the entire society, which is why they reiterated the invitation to San Rafael families to join this space for coexistence and learning.

With this day, San Rafael reaffirms its commitment to promoting actions that promote peace, unity and social transformation for the benefit of the community.

With the aim of preventing violence and strengthening values ​​among youth, the Municipal Women’s Institute of San Rafael will begin next week a cycle of informative talks in secondary schools in the municipality.

According to the City Council, these activities will be focused on the prevention of family violence and dating violence, as well as the promotion of healthy relationships, based on respect, equality and peaceful coexistence.

The San Rafael Municipal DIF System called on citizens to join the Medication Donation Campaign, a solidarity initiative whose objective is to support the people and families who need it most, strengthening access to basic supplies for health care.

According to the call, general use and essential medicines are received, as well as healing materials, dialysis and colostomy bags. The authorities stressed that the donated medications must be current, sealed and in good condition, that is, without having been opened, broken or altered.

Donations are received permanently at the San Rafael Municipal DIF facilities, from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon, during any business day.

The Municipal DIF stressed that each contribution represents an opportunity to improve the quality of life of those who face situations of vulnerability, while promoting solidarity and social participation for the benefit of the community.

Finally, the population was invited to collaborate in this campaign, pointing out that joint work between citizens and institutions is key to strengthening social well-being in the municipality.
