The Mexican National Team was left out of the World Cup after losing 2-3 to England in an intense match. The result not only ended the fans’ dream, but also marked the departure of Javier Aguirre as coach.

The moment reaffirmed the controversial nature of the coach, who now leaves the Tricolor bench. His departure opens the way to a new stage with Márquez as a possible replacement.

Pumas victory in Toluca

The Pumas achieved their first victory under Esteban Solari by beating Toluca 1-2 at the Nemesio Diez Stadium. The visiting team came back with goals from Víctor Arteaga and Sebastián Córdova, both former players of the scarlet team.
