Within the framework of World Environmental Education Day, the areas of Ecology and Environment, as well as Animal Protection, held informative talks in the primary schools of the communities of Loma Iguana and El Hatillo, with the purpose of promoting environmental awareness among the educational community.
The activities were aimed at girls and boys, teachers and parents, to whom the importance of caring for the planet, protecting natural resources and respecting animals were explained, as fundamental actions to build a healthier and more sustainable environment.
During the talks, topics related to the responsible management of waste, the proper use of water, the conservation of biodiversity and citizen participation in the protection of the environment were addressed, highlighting the role that each person plays in their daily environment.
The authorities indicated that these types of actions are part of a permanent environmental education strategy, aimed at strengthening values of responsibility and ecological commitment from an early age, with the support of families and the school community.
