Patricio Cabezut lived a Father’s Day marked by the absence of his two daughters. For four years, the driver has not had contact with them, following the lawsuit for alleged aggravated sexual abuse filed by his ex-wife, Aurea Zapata, in 2024.
The song of absence
Instead of family photos, Cabezut shared a song he wrote on social media: “Invisible wounds”. He accompanied the topic with a video in which he appears with glassy eyes and talks about the silence that separates him from Lucía and Fátima – names of his daughters, minors.
“I have discovered a new way of inhabiting the world, it is like when you dive to the bottom of a pool and the water creates a bubble that isolates you from everything,” he expressed in the clip.
The presenter linked his emotional state to the legal process: “Depression flirts with you all day, especially in the mornings when you get up, if you manage to do it before noon.”
The daily emptiness
Asked by the program Venga la joy, Cabezut clarified that pain is not exclusive to special dates: “Many more days where these girls have not been with their father. It is understanding that it is the life we are having to live, with the hole in our stomach.”
He remembered the closeness he had with them: “We were dad and two girls who did all the activities together. Having a two-hour program allowed me to be absent only in the morning when they were at school.”
He stated that his daughters also miss him: “Their dad continues to fight for them, he continues to raise his voice for them. I know that they love me and miss me.”
So far, Aurea Zapata has not issued statements regarding Cabezut’s words. On her networks, she shared an image with phrases like “I never learned to hate” and “I sleep peacefully with the certainty that I have a huge heart.”
