The proposal (again) that melted Paris
Paris Hilton reminded us this February 14 that love, sometimes, deserves a second scene. Together with her husband Carter Reum and her two young children, Phoenix and London, the socialite experienced a renewal of vows in the Turks and Caicos Islands. And of course, he shared it with his 26 million followers.
“Five years later… and my heart still skips a beat,” Paris wrote in her post.
From ‘simple life’ to family life
The story between Paris and Carter is not new. They had known each other for more than 15 years in circles in Los Angeles, but the spark really jumped at the end of 2019. For Paris, this relationship was always different.
In interviews, she confessed that with Carter she felt “safe”, “respected” and, above all, at peace.
After very public failed engagements, she found someone who didn’t judge her for her fame. The first proposal came in February 2021, on a private island for her 40th birthday. She described it as a “magical” moment.
Now, with two children born through surrogacy (Phoenix in January 2023 and London in November of the same year), the context has completely changed. This renovation wasn’t just for them.
“This time, we weren’t just husband and wife. We were mom and dad,” Paris explained about the moment her children witnessed.
For her, it was about setting an example: showing them that love is chosen every day. In her words: “Renewing our vows isn’t just about celebrating five beautiful years; it’s about showing our babies that love grows.”
Their original wedding was in November 2021 at her grandfather Barron Hilton’s former estate, a lavish event documented in Paris in Love. Today, the narrative is different: less extravagant partying, more family intimacy. Although, being Paris Hilton, always with a touch of beach magic and white flowers.
