Bronze that tastes like glory
The dream of gold at home disappeared, but Alejandra Valencia, Ángela Ruiz and Ana Paula Vázquez were clear about plan B: not to leave without a medal. And boy did they deliver.
Against Spain, in the fight for third place in the World Cup, they showed that coldness that only experience gives. Throw after throw, with clockwork precision, they closed the match with a resounding 6-2.
It was impeccable teamwork. “We knew what we had to do and we executed it calmly,” commented one of the goalkeepers after the victory.
This is not just another bronze. It’s a message. It reaffirms that Mexico is here, in the world elite, to stay. That the hard work behind each arrow pays.
Seeing this trident take the podium at home, after the initial disappointment, is a lesson in character. The kind that is not taught, is lived. And today, these warriors gave it to us all.
