The premiere of MasterChef 24/7 on TV Azteca caused divided reactions among followers of the reality show. The first broadcast, completely live, was noted for production errors and lack of fluidity. Users on social networks asked for the return of the traditional recorded format.
“I was not convinced by the premiere. The new format feels like a morning show, with a lot of filler content. The essence of the kitchen was lost,” wrote one viewer.
Others were harsher: “I think it will be a complete failure; we are seeing the end of a good project.”
In contrast, the inclusion of Daniela Parra as a participant became the main success of the chapter. The young woman, known for her tamales business and for her support of her father, the actor Héctor Parra – currently in prison for the crime of corruption of minors – received praise from chef Zahie Téllez after preparing roasted nopal stuffed with shredded meat.
“So simple, so humble, so beautiful Dani. I send her all the vibes to be a winner,” commented a follower.
Daniela Parra already has a solid support base in networks. Several users stated that they will only watch the season for her. “I sensed it and I’m sure you’re going to go far,” wrote another.
MasterChef has 14 seasons since its arrival in Mexico in 2015, but this is the first time it adopts the 24/7 format, where the contestants live together in a recorded house all day. TV Azteca’s commitment to live broadcast seeks greater interaction, although the captive audience is still skeptical.
