The magic of Mexico needs your voice!
Imagine a country where every corner tells a story, where the colors, flavors and traditions surround you like a warm hug. These are the magical towns of Mexico, 177 jewels that today cry out for help in the face of funding cuts that threaten their essence. But this is not a tragedy, it is an opportunity to reinvent ourselves!
The call of the mayors: Let’s act together!
In an event full of passion at the old headquarters of the Senate, the National Network of Mayors raised its voice: “The programs that supported us have disappeared,” declared Sergio Arredondo Olvera, general secretary of the National Conference of Municipalities. But here’s the inspiring thing: they didn’t sit idly by. They proposed a seed fund of one billion pesos for technical equipment that attracts international investment! See? Every crisis is a seed of creativity.
Marte Luis Molina Orozco, from the Ministry of Tourism, recalled something crucial: “There were never resources labeled from the Legislature”. But therein lies the magic: Sectur has been working for these destinations for 24 years, and now launched “Destinations that transcend and roots that inspire”. The time to change the rules of the game is today!
Local tourism is our strength!
More than complaints, there are brilliant solutions: CAF (Development Bank of Latin America), the Ford and Rockefeller foundations already shown interest. Missing? Let’s all join in! As Senator Eugenio Segura said: “Promoting national tourism is key to the Made in Mexico program”. This is not just money, it is preserving identity, creating jobs and writing a future full of color.
Here is your call to action: Share this story, visit these towns, talk about their value. Let’s show that when Mexico unites, the magic grows! Ready to be part of this movement? The change begins with your next click.
