La Bichota speaks to the elected president of Colombia

Karol G asks the new president of Colombia to govern for everyone, not just his supporters.

Karol G addressed the new president of Colombia, Abelardo de Espriella, through her X account. The singer clarified that she did not take sides either on the right or the opposition, but her message generated criticism on social networks. Many asked him not to get involved in political issues that, according to them, he is unaware of.

In the statement, the artist noted that she was not writing as a supporter or opponent, but as a Colombian who loves her country.

“The elections are over, the campaign is over, the speeches are over, now the most difficult thing begins: governing for everyone.”

Karol G asked de Espriella, a far-right candidate recognized by the National Electoral Council (CNE) as president-elect, to ensure the well-being of all Colombians. Among their requests, they highlighted safeguarding the integrity of citizens, guaranteeing access to job opportunities and ensuring justice by combating hatred.

“Listen to those who voted for you, but also to those who did not, that you do not govern for a party, an ideology or a sector; that you govern for Colombia.”

The reaction on networks was divided. While some supported his call for unity, others criticized his intervention in the political debate, arguing that an entertainment figure should not speak out on issues he is unaware of. Karol G, however, remained firm in his position of prioritizing justice over ideologies.

Tony Dalton returns to the theater with ‘Untouchable Friends’

Tony Dalton returns to the stage after 8 years with a theatrical adaptation of the French film.

An expected return

Tony Dalton steps onto a theatrical stage again. His last work was Power Games in 2017. Film and television kept him busy until producer Morris Gilbert presented him with the script for Untouchable Friends. Dalton accepted immediately.

“Being able to do theater is a blessing for an actor… here you feel everything and you go in the moment,” commented the actor.

Gilbert and Dalton had an outstanding debt: they had not worked together since Same time next year, 15 years ago. The actor’s schedule always prevented it, but a year ago everything aligned. The adaptation of the French film Untouchable Friends (2011) convinced Dalton, which premiered last night at the Teatro Centenario Coyoacán.

The work

The story follows Felipe (Dalton), a millionaire who becomes a quadriplegic after an accident and falls into depression. His life changes when Abel (Manuel Cruz Vivas, alternating with Sebastián Dante), a young man from the neighborhood with no experience, becomes his caretaker. Together they discover a new direction.

The direction and adaptation are carried out by Angélica Rogel. The cast includes Daniela Luján, Mónica Dionne and Daniel Bretón. For almost two hours, the audience laughs, gets excited and connects with this endearing duo.

For Gilbert, finding his co-star was key. “This was for auditions… I’m sure people will come to see both of them,” he explained. Aurelio Palomino’s set design transforms the space: from an elegant residence to an afternoon on the beach, all without losing the theatrical magic. Gilbert highlighted the difficulty of adapting film to theater: “The challenge was to create those spaces in a magical and flowing way.”

The cast of Untouchable Friends promises a moving and fun experience.

They deny versions about Alejandro Fernández's retirement; It's just a scheduled break.

Unfounded rumors

The idea circulated on social networks that Alejandro Fernández was leaving the stage after talking about his depression. The information is false.

His team, Grupo Fernández, clarified it:

“What happens is that, as he has done for several years, the singer takes advantage of two specific periods of the year to disconnect from work (winter and summer) and recharge his batteries before resuming his professional commitments.”

Vacation in Greece

The interpreter is currently in Greece with his partner, Karla Laveaga. There is no retirement announcement or end of career.

This break responds to a balance between professional and personal life. The artist has maintained this practice for a long time, which allows him to return to the stage with energy.

Simon McBride, the Deep Purple guitarist who is not afraid of the past

Simon McBride, Deep Purple's new guitarist, faces the legacy with confidence and without distractions.

A historical weight

Simon McBride was not yet born when Deep Purple released “Hush” in 1968. Today, with 58 years of history on his shoulders, he is the newest member of the legendary rock band.

The musician joined in 2022 to replace Steve Morse. He knows that carrying the legacy of Richie Blackmore, original guitarist, is not easy. But he’s not worried.

“I knew I was going to have a lot of people saying things about me, but you just have to ignore it and move on,” McBride said.

Digital noise does not distract you. His focus is on enjoying the journey alongside Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice and Don Airey. Before being his band, Deep Purple was one of the groups that made him love rock.

“I don’t think about it. I’m very confident. I don’t care what they say,” he added.

Two albums in less than five years

McBride already participated in “=1”, the group’s twenty-third studio album. This Friday he will present “splat!”, his second album with the British. The experience seems almost unreal to him.

With determination, the new guitarist shows that the past does not define his present. Deep Purple is still rolling, and he’s along for the ride.
