Nuevo León Strengthens its Industrial Leadership with the Arrival of Intretech
In a strategic move that reinforces the economic dynamism of the region, the governor of Nuevo León, Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda, led the official inauguration of the new manufacturing plant of the company Intretech in the municipality of Apodaca. This project, which represents an investment of more than 100 million dollars, is projected to generate between 1,500 and 2,000 new direct jobs, consolidating the drive for industrial development and the attraction of capital in the entity.
The event was attended by the state Secretary of Economy, Betsabé Rocha, and the mayor of Apodaca, César Garza Arredondo, marking a significant milestone in the economic promotion agenda. During his speech, the state president emphasized the strategic role that Apodaca plays within the productive ecosystem of Nuevo León, highlighting it as the leading municipality in infrastructure and industry.
A State That Makes a Difference in Attracting Investments
Governor García Sepúlveda’s statements were forceful in underlining the positioning of Nuevo León. “Nuevo León is in first place in everything: formality, education, income, employment… and with the best salaries,” he stated. “We have generated almost 400 thousand new jobs this year. We can no longer be compared with other states. We are heading towards 100 billion dollars of investment between now and November. We continue to be the epicenter of nearshoring, and we welcome companies like Intretech, which bet on the best state: their investment is going to multiply.”
This speech reflects confidence in the state economic model, based on stability, qualified labor and a favorable environment for business, key factors that have captured the attention of global companies in the context of the phenomenon of nearshoring or relocation of supply chains.
Intretech: Smart Manufacturing for Global Markets
For his part, Linden Lin, President of the Board of Directors of Intretech México, expressed his gratitude to the state and municipal authorities for the support received to materialize this project. Lin assured that this new facility is not just a production plant, but will function as a strategic hub for the company’s manufacturing and operational efficiency throughout America.
Founded in 2011, Intretech specializes in what is known as Smart Manufacturing or advanced technological manufacturing. Its product portfolio is diverse and highly complex, including critical electronic components such as automotive rearview mirrors with assistance systems, next-generation hearing aids, devices for the Internet of Things (IoT) and sophisticated navigation systems. The new plant in Apodaca will be focused on strengthening electronic manufacturing for key sectors of the global economy, such as automotive, medical, energy and consumer products.
Mayor César Garza Arredondo stressed that this inauguration is another example of the economic leadership that distinguishes his municipality. Apodaca has generated approximately 10 thousand jobs so far this year, of which more than half correspond to the manufacturing sector, a fact that demonstrates the robustness of its industrial park and its ability to attract high-impact projects.
The arrival of Intretech not only implies the creation of direct jobs, but also the strengthening of the regional value chain and the transfer of knowledge in cutting-edge technologies. These types of investments are essential to maintain Nuevo León’s competitiveness on the international stage, positioning it as a benchmark in innovation and production of high value-added goods. The synergy between the government, private initiative and academia is consolidated as the pillar of the entity’s economic success, projecting a future of sustained growth and opportunities.
