Luxury closing for the 2026 World Cup
FIFA confirmed the cast that will bring life to the closing ceremony on July 19 at MetLife Stadium. The event will include appearances by Tom Cruise, Robbie Williams, Laura Pausini, Nicole Scherzinger, streamer Kai Cenat and Jennifer Hudson. The latter will perform a special version of the United States anthem.
The halftime show, a first for the World Cup, will bring together Shakira, Madonna, BTS, Justin Bieber, Gustavo Dudamel, Burna Boy, the PS22 Choir and Coldplay. FIFA noted that this tradition, popularized by the Super Bowl, will extend the break beyond the regulation 15 minutes.
The ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. local time (5:30 p.m. GMT), 90 minutes before kickoff. The production is carried out by Balich Wonder Studio and will seek to celebrate “the passion, emotion and global character” of the tournament, according to FIFA.
The opening of the World Cup also had a luxury poster. Shakira, Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Lila Downs, Danny Ocean, J Balvin, Tyla, Maná and Los Ángeles Azules performed in Mexico. In the United States, Katy Perry, LISA, Anitta, Future and DJ Sanjoy performed.
With this deployment, FIFA is committed to a closing that combines cinema, music and digital culture.
