Gene Simmons suffers accident after fainting behind the wheel

The bassist crashed his truck after fainting behind the wheel, but his representative assures that he is now back at work.

The Bass Demon prefers the hospital bed to backstage

It seems that even a creature of the night, heavily made up and breathing fire, is not immune to the mishaps of ordinary mortality. Gene Simmons, the bassist whose tongue is more famous than that of a reptile, decided to take an unplanned detour into the world of strobe lights… of an ambulance.

The news, which came to us with the urgency of a drum solo in a Kiss song, reveals that the musician was emergency hospitalized after suffering a traffic accident. The cause? Nothing more and nothing less than losing consciousness while driving his vehicle along the sunny Pacific Coast Highway in California. You would think that after 50 years on stage, putting up with sound at full volume, the last thing I would lose would be my senses. But life, or blood pressure, always has a surprise up its sleeve.

According to well-informed NBC4 gossip, the event occurred on a Wednesday afternoon. The epic journey ended with the rocker’s truck swerving across several lanes – we assume in an attempt to break the highway slalom record – to finally hit a poor car that, it must be said, was calmly parked and not messing with anyone. A demonstration of power, without a doubt.

Medical emergency or simple dress rehearsal?

The prestigious People magazine, always at the forefront of telling us about the misadventures of celebrities, reported that the brave officers of the Los Angeles Fire Department transferred the septuagenarian musician to a hospital in Malibu. Not so that they would give him an award for reckless driving, but so that he would be evaluated and receive the appropriate treatment. The official reports, always so restrained, stated that the incident “was not serious.” Of course, because passing out behind the wheel and doing improvised choreography with a ton of metal is what experts call “a normal day at the office.”

Given the logical commotion and speculation about whether Simmons had perhaps tried to kiss the asphalt with too much fervor, his wife, Shannon Tweed, came forward. With the serenity of someone who is used to living with a man who spits fake blood for a living, she assured the network that the rock star is “stable” and that he is already recovering in the comfort of his home. Meanwhile, the artist’s representative, in a display of corporate optimism, confirmed to the same magazine that the performer is in “perfect health.” “Gene is fine and has already returned to work,” he said. Because what better way to show that you’re in top shape than by going straight from a hospital stretcher to your desk?

This exciting chapter of “This is what happens when famous people drive” comes just a few weeks after the performers of the hit “I Was Made for Lovin’ You” meet again on stage. The band, which had retired from touring in 2023 with one of those farewells that are never entirely true, plans to meet in Las Vegas next November to celebrate nothing less than its 50th anniversary. What a coincidence, just in time for his bassist to have a new anecdote to tell: the day his truck danced without music.

One can’t help but wonder if this incident was simply a reminder that age is unforgiving, a failed attempt to recreate a music video, or perhaps an overly elaborate marketing strategy to publicize the upcoming tour. After all, in show business, any headline is a good headline. Meanwhile, the parked car is asking for compensation… and probably a therapy session.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding: rumors point to New York

Possible date and location of the most anticipated wedding of the year is filtered.

The link between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce continues to be one of the most talked about topics of the show. The versions about when and where it will take place have generated expectation among his followers and the international press.

According to recent reports, a permit has been requested from New York City to close streets around Madison Square Garden from July 2 to July 4, with an event scheduled for July 3. The venue also shows a calendar without activities between June 26 and July 6, which reinforces the versions about a possible celebration in that period.

Possible changes of plans

There was initially speculation of a June 13 wedding in Rhode Island, where Swift owns an oceanfront mansion. However, the plans would have changed after leaks to the press. Now the big celebration would be in New York, while the ceremony could have been held privately.

Guest list and security

Although there is no official confirmation, figures such as Selena Gomez, Zoë Kravitz and other close friends of the singer are expected to attend. Guests would have received strict confidentiality agreements, with legal consequences if they revealed information. Some attendees expressed dissatisfaction at not having the option of a companion.

The event would be organized by planner Mark Seed, known for working with celebrities. Security will be a priority: Madison Square Garden offers privacy benefits and multiple accesses, although local authorities are already preparing for a major logistical challenge, in the midst of the World Cup and the Fourth of July celebrations.

For now, neither Swift nor Kelce have officially confirmed the date or location. Followers continue to be attentive to any clues.

Alexis Ayala reveals why her marriage ended

The actor speaks without filters about fatherhood, love and his breakup with Cinthia Aparicio.

What Alexis Ayala said about their separation

Actor Alexis Ayala broke the silence at the presentation of the soap opera “Corazón de Morocco”. He spoke bluntly about the end of his relationship with Cinthia Aparicio, with whom he shared five years: three of dating and just over two of being married.

The breakup, he explained, occurred when he was honest about his feelings. “Let’s see, I think being a dad in life is romanticized, it’s shit, it’s very difficult,” he said. Ayala acknowledged that, although he previously said he was willing to be a father, time made him change his mind. That led Cinthia to decide to end the relationship.

But fatherhood was not the only topic he brought to the table. The actor also criticized the idealization of life as a couple:

“I think it is romanticized to sleep with the same person, in the same bed, every day, that does not mean that you cannot sleep in the same bed or that, suddenly, spaces can occur; the way of talking about these things is not romanticized either.”

The weight of distance

Ayala ruled out that monotony was the cause. The real trigger was the difficulty in seeing each other: “If I had something, it was learning and that is incredibly good and no, the routine of being together did not change for us, the routine of not being together changed for us; there, the couple reconsidered.”

Finally, he left a reflection on the future. He confessed that he wants them both to find love again: “I still have dreams, I still feel hungry, I still want everything, why wouldn’t I want to fall in love? I want him to also fall in love, to be happy and to live happily.”

South Korean justice sanctions stalker of BTS’s Jungkook

Brazilian fan convicted of harassing BTS member in Seoul.

A suspended sentence for harassment of Jungkook

A Brazilian citizen received a one-year suspended prison sentence in South Korea for harassing Jungkook, a member of BTS. The ruling, issued on May 8 by the Seoul Western District Court, found her guilty of violating the anti-harassment law and trespassing, according to The Korea Times.

The woman harassed the singer 22 times between December 7 and 28 of last year. He appeared at his residence and in nearby areas of Yongsan District. He rang the doorbell, loitered, waited for the artist and left objects in the house. On December 13, he took advantage of an open side door while a delivery driver came and went to enter the property. She was arrested, released, but did not stop. In January, authorities issued an emergency order prohibiting him from coming within 100 meters of the singer or his home.

The court imposed a suspended sentence on him: he will avoid prison if he does not commit new crimes or breach conditions for two years. The judges considered that he acted to express his feelings towards Jungkook, without intending to harm him. They also pointed out that she never managed to enter the home and ruled out the risk of recidivism, in part because she will be permanently expelled from South Korea once the sentence becomes final.

It is not the first time that the artist faces this type of situation. Another woman, a Chinese national, was arrested after trying to enter her home using the access code on the day Jungkook concluded his military service.

The case reopens the debate about the safety of K-Pop artists and legal measures against obsessive harassment. South Korean authorities have toughened sanctions to protect public figures.
