Gaby Platas broke the silence about the leaked audios of her ex-partner, Paco de la O. In them, the actor utters threatening phrases against her and against Malu Carreras, another ex-partner.
It was during the presentation of Guardián de mi vida, the new soap opera by Juan Osorio, where Platas participates. There, the press asked him about the voice notes broadcast on Javier Ceriani’s YouTube channel. In the audios, de la O says that “he will go for the jugular” for talking about him.
The actress avoided going deeper, since the event was to talk about the story. But he acknowledged that the statements were not indifferent to him. Although she has legal protection and a restraining order, she is concerned about the way her ex expresses himself.
“It is an important topic to touch on and important to talk about, I only think not in the presentation of the novel, but I am always willing to talk to you. When someone threatens you, your hair stands on end a little bit. They say a lot of regrettable things.”
Support from the Prosecutor’s Office
Platas said she was calm because she has the support of the Attorney General’s Office. Since she reported, the authorities took measures to prevent de la O from trying to contact her.
“Fortunately I have the support of the Prosecutor’s Office, so, on that side, I am calm. For months I have requested protective measures. They gave me the restraining order since the beginning of March. There is a legal remedy and, of course, I am using it,” she said.
Admiration for Malu Carreras
He also referred to Malu Carreras, who denounced the actor for alleged violence. Platas expressed respect and admiration for her.
“I admire her, I respect her and I am very sorry for what she experienced. I hope that the law protects her too. It took me a while to report it.”
Gaby assured that, although she remains alert, the authorities are already acting to safeguard her integrity.
