The Xbox Developer Direct reveals the future
Microsoft just released all the information at its Xbox Developer Direct event. And the news that has everyone talking is Forza Horizon 6. It already has a date on the calendar.
The game will arrive on May 19, 2026 on Xbox Series X/S and PC (Steam). The interesting thing is that, for the first time for the main saga, it is also expected to land on PlayStation 5 at the end of the year.
An accelerated trip to Japan
This installment takes us directly to the streets of Tokyo. It promises a larger, denser map, with more than 550 vehicles inspired by local automotive culture. From the neon lights of the city to the rural roads with cherry trees.
“Players will put themselves in the shoes of a dreamy tourist, who wants to become a living legend in the world of racing,” they detailed.
New functions such as the ‘Collection Diary’, inspired by Japanese stamp collecting, and ‘The Estate’, based on abandoned rural properties (Akiya), seek to give it a unique personality.
Pricing and early access
The standard edition will cost 1,399 Mexican pesos. The Deluxe and Premium versions will be around 1,999 and 2,399 pesos, respectively.
The good news for subscribers: it will be included in Game Pass Ultimate (449 pesos/month) from day one. Those who buy the Premium Edition will be able to play from May 15, four days before.
Other event announcements
It was not the only notable title. Also shown was Fable, the action RPG from Playground Games, scheduled to arrive in autumn 2026. And it caused excitement for Beast of Reincarnation from Game Freak, a post-apocalyptic RPG set in Japan that will arrive in the summer of the same year.
The message is clear: 2026 is full of news for players.
