Silence could not overcome them
After two years without exchanging a word, Esmeralda Puente and Shiky Clement decided that enough was enough. The reunion, this Friday in Coyoacán, demonstrated one thing: neither distance nor silence broke the complicity they always had.
The reason for the distancing? According to Shiky himself in a past interview with Imagen TV, it was due to differences in their concept of friendship, not because of the divorce of ‘Esme’ and Facundo.
“When there was the divorce I told them both, ‘darlings, you can’t divide me, I love you both,'” Clement said at the time.
A dance to erase any tension
Facundo’s ex documented everything on her networks. The appointment was in the center of Coyoacán. ‘Esme’ even joked by filming people around her, wondering if after all this time she would still recognize the influencer.
The key scene was pure cinema. While she was walking around looking for him, she found him sitting on a bench. Upon seeing her, Shiky got up instantly and started dancing to the rhythm of the danzón that was playing in the background. The laughter was immediate and any possible tension disappeared.
In her publication, Esmeralda wrote: “We haven’t seen each other for two years and we never spoke or looked back at the past… how nice to see you, little one; laughter and menopause tears.”
This bond goes back a long way. Shiky has said that his friendship with the couple began 29 years ago, when he applied to be Facundo’s guide in Spain. The chemistry was such that they invited him to try his luck in Mexico.
“She is someone I love very much… she invited me, she told me ‘come here and let’s try our luck’ and I stayed at her house for eight months,” Shiky recalled about Esmeralda.
In the end, some connections are simply made to last. Even if life gives pauses.
