At the pace of victory! Donovan Carrillo secures his place
With the energy of Hip Hip Chin Chin playing in the stadium, Donovan Carrillo did what he does best: shine on the ice. The Mexican skater, our standard bearer for Milan-Cortina 2026, executed a masterful short program at the Four Continents Championship.
His presentation earned him 74.00 points and fourteenth place overall. The most important thing: your ticket to the final is assured. This is his last high-level test before the great Olympic dream.
“Magnificent performance in the short program of the Four Continents Championship”,
highlighted the Mexican Olympic Committee (COM) through its networks.
The action in Beijing ends this Sunday. Afterwards, all eyes will be on Italy, where the Winter Olympic Games will be held from February 6 to 22.
More than a skater: a delegation with history
Donovan won’t be alone. The Mexican delegation will also include skiers Allan Corona, Sarah Schleper, Lasse Gaxiola and Regina Martínez. A team that promises to leave Mexico’s name at the top.
Carrillo already has his Olympic pass in his pocket since September of last year, when he won third place in the Beijing Pre-Olympic with 222.22 units. Now, he’s fine-tuning the final details to make history… for the second time.
The path is clear. The final is the next step. And then, Italy awaits him to write another glorious chapter.
