A day of terror in the streets of kyiv
The streets of a kyiv neighborhood became a scene of horror this Saturday. A man armed with an automatic rifle opened fire, killing at least six people and wounding fourteen others before taking refuge in a supermarket.
The Ukrainian police finally managed to neutralize the aggressor after a confrontation. The images from the scene, before the bodies were removed, were heartbreaking: victims lying on the asphalt covered with thermal blankets.
The mystery of the attacker
Authorities are working around the clock to understand what happened. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave a crucial piece of information: the 58-year-old attacker was born in Russia.
“The aggressor was born in Russia,” Zelenskyy confirmed, while the authorities reconstructed the motives.
That information adds a complex layer to the event. In the midst of a war that is now two years old, any violent act is looked at with a geopolitical magnifying glass. Was this an isolated act? Or do you have broader connections?
The community is now trying to recover as the investigation continues. For affected families, questions about “why” hurt as much as the loss itself.
