Chiapas gets on the train of progress (literally)
The Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, that project that sounds like a spy movie name but is actually pure economic development, has just launched two declarations of Development Poles in Tapachula. Yes, the same place where avocado is king and the border with Guatemala is just a hop away (or 5 km, but who’s counting).
Productive vocations: because Chiapas does not live on coffee alone
According to the official documents (which we read for you so that you do not suffer from bureaucracy), these poles have 11 productive vocations. Translation: everything from semiconductor factories (the geek dream) to agribusiness (for those who miss the countryside but with WiFi) fits here. The list includes:
- Electronics and semiconductors (aka “the Silicon Valley of Chiapas”).
- Automotive and electromobility (because the cars of the future also need roads).
- Pharmaceuticals and medical devices (to take care of your health with style).
- Clean energies (green is the new black, friends).
Strategic location: as an influencer in a premium spot
The Polo Tapachula I (263 hectares) is so well connected that it even makes you envy the CDMX metro: road to Puerto Madero, near railway tracks and a stone’s throw from the border with Guatemala. In addition, it is 6 km from the airport, which is ideal for businessmen who travel more than a digital nomad.
The Polo Tapachula II (149 hectares) is not far behind: a stone’s throw from the Naval Zone and less than 1 km from Puerto Chiapas. Basically, if this pole were a Tinder profile, it would say: “Internationally connected, business-loving and with a promising future“.
And in case anyone doubted it: both areas are outside protected natural areas, because progress is made, but without sacrificing biodiversity (take notes, other projects).
