Cazzu doesn’t stop. And when we say it doesn’t stop, we mean it.
The Argentinian has just released “Sorry if I didn’t call you”, a song that fuses traditional Sierreño music with her urban flow. The result: pure dark magic, as only she knows how to do.
The video is a cinematic gem. There we see a black widow who seduces, manipulates and takes revenge. All in the key of desire and power. Everyday but with a symbolism that leaves you thinking.
“Sorry if I didn’t call you” is part of the universe of “Latinaje”, its artistic stage that combines Latin American roots, sensuality and dark atmosphere.
And the tour is another level.
It has already sold out tickets in Los Angeles, New York, San Diego and Houston. Now it continues through Bolivia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Uruguay and Spain. The finale will be on September 12 in Jujuy, where she will become the first female artist to fill a stadium in her province. Historical.
But that’s not all. Cazzu is also sweeping the Gardel Awards with four nominations: Album of the Year and Best Global Music Album for Latinaje, and Song of the Year and Best Tropical/Cumbia Song for Con Otra. In addition, she was nominated for the Lo Nuestro Award.
And the best? She debuted as a writer with the best seller “Perreo, a revolution”, a feminist essay that vindicates perreo as a political act. He presented it at the Buenos Aires Book Fair and it became a key manifesto of his Latinaje era.
Oh, and she also made her acting debut in the film Laughter and the Wind Cabin, which has already won international awards. The girl doesn’t stop adding talents.
