Horror came to the set
Three people lost their lives over the weekend during the filming of Without breasts there is paradise in Bogotá. It was not a robbery or a settling of accounts, according to Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán, but the action of a man who, apparently, “had a mental health condition.”
What happened
On Saturday afternoon, in the town of Santa Fe, a guy approached without saying a word and attacked a member of the team with a knife. Security videos show how he stabs the gun into the victim’s neck while the victim waited in front of a parking lot. The scene is brutal.
The police confirmed that, after the first attack, several people came out to defend the injured man. The aggressor managed to hurt two more: one died and another was hospitalized. In total, four people were arrested; Two were prosecuted for their possible participation in the death of the attacker.
“The events occurred in an area outside the filming location and were caused by a person unrelated to the production,” said TIS Studios, producer of the series.
Legitimate defense?
Mayor Galán suggested that those captured acted in legitimate defense, but made it clear that justice will decide. Meanwhile, the Colombian audiovisual industry is in shock. And one cannot help but wonder: how far is the line between protecting oneself and becoming a victimizer?
