The stage couldn’t cope
The GNP Stadium was packed. Not one more soul could fit when La Maldita Vecindad took the Amazon Music stage. The pachucos arrived with their entire arsenal of hits, and the people, despite having played almost 12 hours of music, responded with overwhelming energy.
The classics were played one after another. ‘The past, the past’, ‘Pata de perro’ and ‘Solin’ opened the famous circles of ‘peace and dance’ that characterize their shows. Ska made thousands vibrate.
And like in every performance, Rocco did not miss the opportunity to raise his voice. His message was clear tonight:
Words of support for Cuba, Venezuela and Palestine, three countries that are experiencing serious conflicts.
The cherry on the cake was called Moenia
To top off the night, Moenia took the stage. The group celebrates three decades of career and what better setting than Vive Latino. It was impossible for them not to play the anthems that have made them immortal on playlists.
‘Neither you nor anyone’, ‘Die three times’ and ‘Starmantle’ itself resonated in the early morning. It was the moment when thousands of tired but happy voices joined together in a single choir.
At the end, with smiles marked by fatigue and sleepy eyes, the public began to file towards the exits. Many were already mentally planning which artists they would go to see today.
The actions of the second day will start around 1:30 PM. The spotlight will be on Los Fabulosos Cadillacs and Music to send you flying, among others. The party is just beginning.
