The early morning vibrated with ska and synth-pop
The first day of Vive Latino couldn’t end any other way. With the ‘Manto Estelar’ as a witness, two heavyweights of the Mexican scene put the finishing touch: La Maldita Vecindad and Moenia. The GNP Stadium, packed, held out until the end.
Pachucos and peace on the court
The eyes were already tired from twelve hours of music, but the bodies were not. When La Maldita took the Amazon Music stage, the energy exploded. There was no room for another soul and no one stopped jumping.
“What is past is past”, “Pata de perro” and “Solin” opened the famous circles of ‘peace and dance’.
Ska made everyone move. And like in every show, Rocco didn’t mince his words. He sent a message of support to Cuba, Venezuela and Palestine, countries in conflict.
Three decades that sound like the future
The icing on the cake was Moenia. They took the stage to celebrate their 30 years of career. It was impossible to miss the hymns that we have all had in some playlist.
“Neither you nor anyone”, “Die three times” and, of course, “Starmantle” were played in the early morning.
It was a magical moment. Those who lasted the entire day sang with one voice, with a smile glued to their faces and their eyes shining between sleep and emotion.
And tomorrow… more
Thousands filed toward the exits, many already planning what to see today. The second day starts around 1:30 PM. In their sights are The Fabulous Cadillacs and Music to send you flying. The party continues.
