The digital vote that smells strange
The National Association of Actors (ANDA) has a serious problem. His recent electoral process, which saw Omar Fierro’s RosaAzul slate as the winner, is under scrutiny. Several colleagues do not buy the result and speak clearly: something does not add up.
Alejandra Lei, Dobrina Cristeva and Reynaldo Rossano are some of the well-known faces who are raising their voices. Their main complaint is the digital voting system, Sirvolab. They say they did not participate because the method did not inspire confidence in them.
“We should have been part of the digital process and we were not and that, the truth is, does not give us confidence,” Cristeva explained to the press.
The key point is this: to vote in the Sirvolab it was not necessary to have the ANDA credential. That, they allege, left the door open for people outside the union to vote. Not a minor detail.
A complaint with evidence in hand
But this goes beyond suspicions about the system. Alejandra Lei claims to have concrete evidence. She says that she was contacted to join Fierro’s staff, but when she saw how things were handled, she decided to leave and report.
“It’s not that I know it from third parties, I know it, because I was in the chat… I sent my evidence to the Center, in my personal capacity, I have all that evidence,” argued Lei.
His accusation is serious: it suggests that the acting steering committee would have been promoting RosaAzul’s campaign from within. A clear conflict of interest.
The controversy jumped to the networks when Rodrigo Vidal commented on a note about the case on the ‘Frankesas’ portal. His phrase was forceful and went viral: “If Omar Fierro is there, it is very likely that there is something wrong”.
Frank Favela, owner of the media, contacted Vidal to ask him about his statement. The actor revealed a negative personal experience as Fierro’s business partner years ago.
“He told me: ‘I had an experience with Omar Fierro… we went wrong, because he is not made or suitable to lead projects,'” Favela said about his conversation with Vidal.
Meanwhile, the dissatisfied actors have taken their evidence to the Federal Center for Conciliation and Labor Registration. The ball is now in their court to investigate these accusations that call into question the transparency of an entire union.
