The Coatepec City Council informs citizens that the collection of the 2026 Property Tax will begin on Monday, January 5, due to the delivery-reception process of the municipal administration 2026-2029 and the updating of the collection system.
This update aims to provide better service to taxpayers, maintaining discounts and promotions for both the general public and pensioners, retirees and older adults.
Opening hours (valid only during the month of January)
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
⚠️ Important notice:
For the only occasion, on Monday, January 5, the collection will begin at 9:00 a.m., since from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Only people who have a previously assigned card will be attended to.
During the first week of January, payments will be received in cash only.
Who can make the payment?
Any person can go to pay for a property, as long as they present the last payment receipt, from which the cadastral key necessary for the procedure is obtained.
It is not essential for the owner to attend in person, except in the case of requesting the 50% discount, where it will be necessary to compare the voter ID card with the previous receipt.
Discounts available
20% discount on the annual 2026 Property Payment for the general public.
For this benefit, no official identification will be required; It is enough to present the previous receipt.
50% discount for pensioners, retirees and adults over 60 years of age.
This discount only applies if:
The property is in the name of the beneficiary.
The address of the property matches the official identification (INE).
INAPAM credential or document proving the status of pensioner or retiree is presented, in addition to the receipt of the previous property tax.
⚠️ Important:
The discount will not be applied if the elderly person comes to pay for a property that is not in their name, even if it belongs to a family member.
Payment options
The payment option by bank transfer will gradually be enabled.
Interested persons may leave their information at the Municipal Treasury, and staff will contact them to provide the corresponding information.
