The return of two figures
After five years away from open television, Silvia Navarro returns to soap operas with a double challenge: playing two twin sisters with opposite personalities. The production is called Guardian of my life, under the direction of Juan Osorio.
Navarro will play Sofía, an elegant woman trapped in a marriage marked by deception, and Andromeda, her twin, with a thirst for revenge and a dark side. The actress confessed her emotion during the official presentation of the melodrama.
“Very excited, it’s finally coming out. I think it happened in a place where I feel protected, cared for, considered,” she expressed.
One of the biggest challenges was building Andromeda, a character that was born from the costumes. “A lot of what inspired Andromeda was coincidentally the clothes. When they put them on me I said: ‘ah, ok, it goes here,'” he said.
Navarro thanked Juan Osorio for encouraging her to return. “Thank you to Juan for this gift and for giving me the opportunity to do what I love most: soap operas,” he declared. She also highlighted director Erick Morales, who was key in convincing her.
“Erick Morales was the one who called me and told me: ‘there is a story’. I love soap operas with all my heart,” he said.
For his part, Daniel Arenas assured that both he and Silvia arrive renewed after years away from melodramas. “They have given us the opportunity to return to what we love most. We come renewed, with a strength that no one can contain us,” he commented. And he praised the producer: “Juan Osorio is a magician of novels.”
