Latino Shrek demands just enough to return in the fifth film

Voice actor Alfonso Obregón sets conditions to return as Shrek in the fifth film, asking for recognition and fair payment.

The favorite ogre sets conditions

The news of Shrek 5 has everyone excited. But there is a crucial detail for Latin America: the return of the voice that gave soul to the green ogre for more than two decades.

Alfonso ‘Ponchito’ Obregón, the Shrek of an entire region, is not willing to return simply. And he is saying it clearly on social networks.

“Listen to me, I’m not going to make the movie if I don’t direct it, if they don’t give me my credit and if they don’t pay me well. I don’t want to charge the same as Mike Myers, I want to charge fairly,”

This was stated by Obregón in a video where he uses scenes from the original film. Three clear demands: creative control, public recognition and financial compensation that reflects their contribution.

A campaign with a meme flavor

The actor started a digital movement asking for the public’s support. The slogan: use the hashtag #mygrofavorito to put pressure on DreamWorks Animation.

The response was immediate and massive. The comments poured in:

“Shrek in ALL of Latin America is you Ponchito”
“There is only one Shrek and his last name is Obregón”
“Without Alfonso there is no Shrek”

This is not just an artist’s whim. The Latin dubbing of Shrek is a case study. Actors adapted scripts, added idioms and created unique connections with the audience. It was magic made voice.

Now, that magic has a price. And its chief sorcerer demands that it be valued accordingly. The future of the most beloved ogre in Spanish cinema could depend on this negotiation.

Meanwhile, fans wait. And they tweet. Because some heroes don’t wear a cape, they wear a microphone.

Controversy in Ventaneando: Pedro Sola generates outrage for comments about dogs

Pedro Sola's comments about dogs in public places spark criticism and demand their removal.

Outrage grows on social networks against Pedro Sola. The driver of Ventaneando, 79 years old, expressed annoyance at the presence of dogs in shopping centers, supermarkets and restaurants. His words unleashed a wave of criticism calling for his departure from the program.

During the broadcast, Sola said:

“I don’t tolerate dogs in the store, dogs in the supermarket, dogs shitting in the restaurant, what is that, did they go crazy or what?”

Then he added: “Wanting to throw a piece of poisoned meat.”

The host Mónica Castañeda reacted by pointing out that this idea was not correct. But Sola continued: “Those who carry three (dogs) in a stroller make the owners want to shoot them.”

Pati Chapoy, director of the program, laughed during the comments and joked: “It makes you want to give them a card from a psychiatrist.”

The audience was divided. Some agreed that dogs should not be kept indoors. However, many condemned what they consider incitement to violence against animals and people.

The reactions have reignited the debate about animal respect and the responsibility of the media in spreading messages that could be interpreted as violent. So far, neither Sola nor Chapoy have issued statements in this regard.

Fher Olvera responds to Liam Gallagher for failed prediction

The Maná vocalist responded to Liam Gallagher's provocation after the Mexico vs England match.

The rivalry that no one expected

The last match of the Mexican National Team in the World Cup unleashed an unexpected crossover between Liam Gallagher and Fher Olvera. It all started when Gallagher predicted online that England would beat Mexico 5-0. The result was not what he expected: although the English won, Mexico scored twice.

The leader of Maná took the opportunity to respond with a direct video:

“Isn’t it 5-0, dude? Five more minutes and we’ll make them ointment. I respect Mexico, in good spirits.”.

And he finished with a clear message: “Get your bearings, guy!”

Fher also recognized the rival victory, but made it clear that the Mexican team fought until the end. “I send a hug to all the English, but he was killing them for the last twenty minutes,” he added.

Days ago, when Gallagher released his forecast, Fher had already used the same phrase. The Oasis singer’s response was immediate. One follower wrote: “Oasis 1- Mana 0,” and Liam replied: “Stronger.”

The exchange lit up social networks and showed that the passion for football also crosses musical borders.
