BTS in the Zócalo? Sheinbaum puts it on the table
This Thursday morning started and President Claudia Sheinbaum did not miss the opportunity to celebrate the great moment that the ARMYS experienced. From a balcony of the National Palace, the BTS boys greeted their Mexican fans and the Zócalo exploded.
“Incredible what happened,” Sheinbaum said, with a video of the euphoria as proof.
50 thousand souls according to official calculations. Men, women, but above all “very excited” girls, the president explained. The president even boasted that the same members confessed to her that “Mexico has an energy that no other energy in the world has.” Soft, right?
The promise of return
And here’s the juicy thing: Sheinbaum assured that BTS will return to Mexico next year. When asked if it would be free in the Zócalo, he responded with a diplomatic “it will be reviewed.” I mean, he didn’t say no.
“It’s good news for everyone who loves this group,” he concluded, highlighting the “positive messages” of their music.
The cherry? He thanked South Korean President Lee Jae-myung for making it possible. He’ll even send you a letter. Because, of course, there’s nothing like an official statement to give weight to pop fervor.
The fact: The ARMY community continues to vibrate. And meanwhile, the National Palace already has its own k-pop chapter.
