Ready for the pension? Today the process begins
The Welfare Secretariat, led by Ariadna Montiel, announced that starting this Monday more than 2,500 modules will be opened to register the beneficiaries of the Pension for Seniors and the Women’s Welfare Pension. The modules will operate from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Attention to the alphabetical calendar
And here comes the first operational detail that usually generates chaos: today only people whose first surname begins with A, B or C should attend. A classic. If your last name begins with another letter, wait your turn according to the calendar published by the agency.
What to carry under your arm? The list is the same as always, but it is worth reviewing it:
- Current official identification (INE, passport, card).
- CURP recently printed.
- Legible birth certificate.
- Proof of address for the last six months (electricity, water, telephone).
- Phone numbers (cell phone and landline).
The Welfare Secretariat reported that the last two days of the call will open registration for “all late letters.”
A useful piece of information: if you cannot reach a module, you can request a home visit by calling the Wellness Line at 800 639 42 64. Save that number.
We will see in the coming days if the more than 2,500 modules are enough to avoid the long lines that usually accompany these processes. The collective memory of previous procedures calls for skepticism, but hopefully this time the logistics are up to par with the discourse.
