The ‘daddy’ of the internet continues to be the king of accessibility
After several days filming in northern Mexico, Pedro Pascal could have left through the back door. Could. But it’s not his style.
The Chilean actor left the hotel in Sonora and found dozens of fans waiting for him. And instead of speeding up his pace, he did what he does best: he smiled, stopped and interacted.
“Go back to Cananea, we love you, Pedro”
They shouted at him from the crowd, according to the videos that are already circulating everywhere. And he was there, listening, signing autographs, posing for photos. The same guy who sweeps TikTok for being the internet’s boyfriend proving that, sometimes, fame doesn’t have to keep you away from people.
A filming that moved an entire region
Pascal was there filming “By Night”, the new Todd Haynes movie. It is a thriller set in the 1930s where he plays a detective. But off camera, his role was that of the accessible celebrity.
They saw him all over the city. On set, of course. But also in casual encounters with locals and even… interacting with street dogs. Because of course it is.
His presence was quite an event. Some businesses even used his face in their advertisements, with slogans like “Pedro prefers us”. Pure neighborhood marketing, but effective.
In the end, he left as he came: leaving good vibes and confirming that his reputation for good vibes is more than justified. In an era where stars sometimes live in bubbles, seeing someone with your level of exposure stop to say hello…refreshing.
I wish more celebrities would take note.
