In the midst of the mobilizations that the CNTE maintains in different parts of Mexico City, the actor and teacher Moisés Suárez shared his position. The interpreter of “Neighbors” considers that interests are mixed in the movement that distort the original demands.
“Things are getting mixed up. We have responsibilities before society and we must not abuse that. Things must be done in a respectful way, I am of the idea that by talking people understand each other,” he declared to the press during the presentation of his new series, “Delicious indeed.”
Social responsibility and personal experience
Suárez highlighted the importance of social responsibility, a quality that he has learned as a teacher and as an actor. He recalled an experience at the beginning of his career: when he was playing Gato GC, a producer asked him to greet children with Down syndrome who were watching the show live.
“I went to greet them and when they saw me they gave me a cheer, they hugged me, but they were children,” he said.
That experience helped him measure the impact that certain figures have on the lives of others.
No opposition to the demands, but with conditions
Although he made it clear that he is not against the mobilizations or the demands of the CNTE, he insisted that honesty and dialogue are the most effective tools to resolve differences.
“You have to respect, be honest… I think this goes a little with what I said about the teacher and the professional, any job, everything with responsibility, with respect it can be achieved, not with aggression, long live peace, long live love,” he concluded.
