A message from the neighborhood

Singer Armando Toledo Rosas, known as El Bogueto, attended President Claudia Sheinbaum’s morning meeting to support the “Mexico sings for peace and against addictions” campaign. Originally from Nezahualcóyotl, State of Mexico, he shared a direct message to the youth.

“I started singing to the neighborhood on the street in a different way, I want the message for those in the neighborhood… to be motivated, to have the initiative to fulfill their dreams, no matter where you are from… here is clear proof that you can achieve great things coming from the neighborhood”

The interpreter recognized the value of the government program, which also opens spaces for children of Mexican migrants in the United States. He stressed that talent knows no borders and that music can be an engine of change.

Support for new talents

El Bogueto began his career in popular neighborhoods and reached first place globally on Spotify last fall. He believes that initiatives like this offer real opportunities for young people to develop their creativity and stay away from crime.
