A message from the neighborhood

Singer Armando Toledo Rosas, known as El Bogueto, attended President Claudia Sheinbaum’s morning meeting to support the “Mexico sings for peace and against addictions” campaign. Originally from Nezahualcóyotl, State of Mexico, he shared a direct message to the youth.

“I started singing to the neighborhood on the street in a different way, I want the message for those in the neighborhood… to be motivated, to have the initiative to fulfill their dreams, no matter where you are from… here is clear proof that you can achieve great things coming from the neighborhood”

The interpreter recognized the value of the government program, which also opens spaces for children of Mexican migrants in the United States. He stressed that talent knows no borders and that music can be an engine of change.

Support for new talents

El Bogueto began his career in popular neighborhoods and reached first place globally on Spotify last fall. He believes that initiatives like this offer real opportunities for young people to develop their creativity and stay away from crime.

The federal program seeks to promote artistic expression as an alternative to addictions and crime, providing platforms to emerging talents from Mexico and abroad.

Clear priorities after 34 years of career

María José has learned to trust her talent and her timing. After more than three decades in music, he has clear priorities: his family and his profession.

Since 2014, when her daughter Valeria was born, the singer rethought her schedule to be a present mother. Although he recognizes that he cannot be home every day, he strives to be available at key moments.

“Maybe I am not a mother who is at home all week, like many, many, millions of Mexican women who go out to work…, but I am a very present mother,” she shares.

School dates first

Now, before accepting concerts or recordings, María José reserves important dates on the school calendar. Easter, for example, is a sacred period for her daughter.

“Yes, I already know that my daughter is going to have all of Easter off, before I had a lot of work on those dates, but now I don’t take it. Since the beginning of the year I have been saying: these dates are not touched,” he explains.

The singer has shown that it is possible to balance an artistic career with motherhood, without sacrificing either family presence or passion for the stage.

The clarification that sparked the controversy

Belinda shared an audio with her followers after receiving an avalanche of negative messages and threats against her integrity. The singer explained that she deleted a comment on social media because it triggered a violent reaction.

It all started when he referred to her and Danna Paola as Mexican “pop stars.” Some users interpreted that it excluded Kenia Os, with whom Belinda collaborated in 2024 on the song “Jackpot.” His attempt to clarify the situation only made things worse.

“I deleted a comment because I started to receive a lot of hate, I have received thousands of negative comments towards me. For me it is important to stop this hate, these insults,” he expressed.

Call for empathy

The “Luz sin Gravity” singer went further and revealed that she received serious threats, something unprecedented in her career. “I have received death threats. I am not used to that. I think fandoms should have limits. For mental health, I deleted my comment, not because I have anything against anyone,” she clarified.

Belinda insisted that she has never incited hatred and asked her followers to respond with respect. “I don’t like it, I don’t behave like that. I am a person of peace, of love. I want my fans to receive the same. I hope that my colleagues do not incite hatred,” he said.

The singer also explained that her comment about Danna referred to their origins as child stars, with no intention of demeaning anyone. “We grew up together in novels from a very young age. That’s what I was referring to, without putting anyone down,” she concluded.
