Elements of the Navy located and incinerated a cannabis drying room and a clandestine plantation during land patrols near Lago Walamito, Sinaloa.
The Secretary of the Navy (Semar) reported this Saturday that the action was carried out within the framework of operations to detect and destroy illicit crops in the entity.
In the Topolobampo region, naval personnel found a drying room with dried cannabis plants. 300 plants were incinerated, each approximately 1.5 meters high, with a total weight of 200 kilograms.
Semar stated that the incineration prevented their possible distribution and impact on the health of the population. During the operation, personnel acted with strict adherence to human rights, strengthening inter-institutional actions to neutralize illicit crops that represent a financial source for criminal groups in the region.
