Mariana Botas reveals the truth after her departure from reality

The actress opens the game about the conflicts within the house and clarifies the rumors of a romance that captured the attention of the networks.

Goodbye, House: Mariana Botas Picks up her Boots and her Drama

Well yes, friends of the internet. Hold on because the reality show lost one of its most memeable protagonists. Mariana Botas, the queen of drama and the foreign sweatshirt, was officially evicted by the public from La Casa de los Famosos México, becoming the fifth eliminated. After five weeks of being our weekly supply of gossip, the actress and influencer packed up her things (hopefully she didn’t accidentally take any more sweatshirts) and headed out to face that terrifying place we call “the real world.”

And of course, the first thing he did was sit down for an interview to gut everything he experienced within those four walls, because what’s the point of living a traumatic experience if you can’t monetize it with clicks and views, right?

The Telenovela Villain and the Sweatshirt Loan

We cannot talk about Mariana’s journey without mentioning her nemesis, her archenemy, the Joker of her Batman: the veteran actor Alexis Ayala. Their rivalry was the soap opera within the soap opera, with more shouting and accusations than an episode of La Rosa de Guadalupe. During the last gala, the clash was epic: she accusing him of disrespecting her, him saying that everything was a smear campaign. Basically, our daily bread in any family WhatsApp group.

But now, with a cold mind and away from the cameras 24/7, Mariana describes him as that coworker who thinks he’s a great actor but in the end he’s just intense. “Alexis was rude and adopted the villain character. He does it very well, he is a great competitor and strategist, but there was an issue of respect that I was not willing to let go,” she said in her talk with EL UNIVERSAL. In other words, he recognizes the effort for the Oscar, but not so much the gaslighting.

The good thing is that he apparently doesn’t hold a grudge, because who has the energy for that? Clarify that any enmity stays in the game, like those anger that your boss gives you on a Friday and that by Monday you already forgot because you have to pay the rent. Regarding whether she would become friends with Alexis in real life, her response was a monument to millennial indifference: “I don’t know if life crosses our path… It doesn’t keep me up at night, it doesn’t worry me.” Translation: it is worth a sovereign cucumber.

But let’s talk about what really matters: the alleged romance with Aldo de Nigris that drove the networks crazy. It turns out that everything was put together because the girl asked to borrow a sweatshirt. Yes, you read that right. A. Hoodie. In the collective mind of Twitter, that’s equivalent to a marriage proposal. Mariana, with the patience of a saint, clarified the unrequited shipping: “Aldo’s issue was a simple loan me the sweatshirt that he took to other places and cost me the hate of his followers.” In other words, hate was showered on him for a gesture that, in any other context, would be normal. But this is the world of reality, where lending a sweater is more compromising than an engagement ring.

And regarding the criticism of having “owned” the garment, he confessed that it has caused him a lot of laughter. “The sweatshirt chatter went a long way and it makes me laugh a lot, honestly. I won’t ask to borrow a sweatshirt again (he said jokingly).” Life lesson: if a famous person asks you for a sweater, run. Run for your life.

Learnings from Lockdown (Apart from Not Pinning Clothes to Anyone)

Beyond the drama and the owner sweatshirts, Mariana assures that the experience was invaluable. He was able to coexist with legends like Facundo and Ninel Conde, and with the new generation of celebrities like Aarón Mercury and Elaine Haro. “I am very happy with everything I take away from this project. Meeting and sharing with people I admire leaves learnings that are not forgotten,” she concluded. Basically, it was a masterclass in how to survive a lockdown with self-centered personalities, which sounds like good training for any future pandemic.

So here ends Mariana Botas’ chapter in La Casa de los Famosos. He leaves with his boots on, his head held high, and, we presume, his own sweatshirt on tightly. The show must go on, and we will be here, with popcorn ready, to see what other drama television invents.
